Hello, I’m Marcus. I’m from the UK, but I’ve lived in Seoul, South Korea, on and off since 2009. Outside of my day job, I’m probably riding my bike. Almost certainly, in fact. I haven’t owned a car for over 15 years so bikes are my main form of transport.
Commuting, picking up groceries, cafe riding, and bikepacking adventures are all the kinds of riding I enjoy. Never that fast, just taking everything in. Recently, I started a YouTube channel documenting my life by bike. If you’re interested in following along, you can find it here.

This Rivendell Atlantis was my dream bike, and I still pinch myself that it’s mine. I’d had a Clem for a couple of years, which ignited my appreciation for Rivendell bikes, so I was keeping my eye out for an Atlantis to be my main touring bike. I thought the Atlantis was their most iconic model. Around that time, this frame came available on eBay, and I had to jump at the chance.

It’s one of the last USA Waterford made Atlantis frames with beautiful lugs and slightly shorter (but still long) chainstays compared to the current model. I built it up pretty quickly and took it for a month long stay in Tokyo, where I had it set up pretty light and basic. This bike got a lot of love over there! Since then, I’ve got it in touring mode for bikepacking adventures around South Korea. It’s such a capable bike.
